Common questions

Quick answers.

Your account

I forgot my password.

On the Sign in screen, tap Forgot password? and we'll email you a link to set a new one. In the app you can also change it in Settings, Account.

How do I change my name, photo, or phone?

In the app, open Settings, Account. Tap Photo, Name, or Phone, change it, and tap Save.

I'm in more than one company.

Tap Account, then tap your company to pick another. That's the one place to switch.

How do I delete my account?

In the app, open Settings, Account, and tap Delete account at the bottom. Its sheet says what happens before anything is deleted: your properties, jobs, and estimates stay with the company.

Plans and billing

Where do I choose a plan?

On the website. In the app, Home shows Choose a plan until your company has one, and an owner or admin taps Continue on the web to open the billing page, already signed in.

How do I add seats?

Tap Seats on Settings, Team in the app, or open the billing page on the website, pick how many, and tap Add.

How much is it?

$119 a month with one seat included, and $40 a month for each extra seat, after a 14-day free trial. See pricing.

When is my card charged?

When your 14-day free trial ends. Cancel before then and you pay nothing.

Your team

How do I invite someone?

In the app, open Settings, Team, and tap Invite people. Type their email, pick a role, and tap Send invite. They join when they accept the email.

Someone didn't get their invite.

Open Settings, Team, tap their invite under Waiting to join, and tap Send again. If the email didn't go out, the sheet offers Share the invite link so you can text it.

How do I hand the company to someone else?

The owner opens Settings, Team, taps the person, then Role, Owner, and Make owner. You become an admin.

What can each person do?

Each person's role decides it. Every company starts with Canvasser, Sales rep, Manager, and Admin, and you can add roles of your own.

Using the app

Does it work without signal?

Yes. Knocks, notes, photos, and new properties save on your phone and send when you're back online. Maps save on their own for your territories and upcoming appointments.

Do my reps need a computer?

No. The inspection, the report, the estimate, and the signature all happen in the CoContractor app on their phone.

How do I learn the app?

Ask Brigg. Tap his tab on the right edge of any screen and ask how to do something, or open Tutorials at the top of his chat.

Why am I not getting storm alerts?

Open Settings, Notifications, Storm alerts. Pick your states and the hail size, and turn on Push alerts. If Push alerts is amber, your phone has notifications off for the app; tap it to open your phone's Settings.

Estimates and signing

Why can't I send or sign an estimate?

An estimate needs priced lines and a total above $0, and a home estimate needs your company's address, since it prints on the cancellation form. Review and send says what's missing.

Where's the signed copy?

It's emailed to the homeowner and filed under the property's Documents.

Can the homeowner sign on their own phone?

Yes. Send the estimate and they open it from the link, pick their options, and sign.

Does a signature at the door hold up?

The homeowner reviews the estimate, gives consent, and signs on your phone. It's time-stamped and located, and they get the signed copy by email. Their legal right to cancel, like the FTC's three-day rule, still applies.
